This film would aim for a wider audience than Deadheads, and would probably not please most of us here. They would have to come up with one basic story line and develop it through 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours. The music, which I think most of us would say is of utmost importance, would definitely get shorted. As with any person who has lived for a half a century, there is no way that they could really capture that life in a way that would provide much satisfaction to anyone who really knows him or her. I doubt anyone here could put together a commercially succesful 2 hour movie about Jerry.

well they could focus 1.0 hours on the summer of love and 1 hour on his bottom of the barrel junkie years, .5 hours on the Touch of Grey explosion immediately followed by another half hour on him being a junkie again.

Kind of like Phil's book

then use only Truckin and Touch for songs to satisfy the masses
